2013/2014 School Year

We are now starting our planning for next year.  If parents feel there are educational reasons why their child should be placed with a certain teacher we ask that we are advised of this request in writing to vrsaretsky@cbe.ab.ca by March 15th, 2013.  We promise we will take your requests into account as we are creating class lists.  The creation of a class list is a complicated one and many factors go into this decision.  We need to balance classes for academic needs and abilities, behaviour issues, boys and girls, and complimentary subject choices.  We cannot guarantee we will be able to accommodate all requests but we will take them into account as we prepare and balance the classes.
Thank you

MidSun Dunks for Dollars with their Annual Charity Basketball game VS the Mount Royal University Cougars

Our Senior boys and girls basketball teams joined forces today against a highbred team of mens and ladies players from the Mount Royal University Cougars basketball team.  The teams played in a fun-filled fast paced game while our whole school cheered on.  The game was refereed by our own zany Mr. Harris while Ms. Amirault called the play by play.  The half time show had students from grade 7, 8 and 9 pulled from the audience for a shooting completion with the winners taking home a special edition lakers T-shirt.  The school and the University were joining forces to raise money for Right to Play, a charity whose mission is to use sport and play to educate and empower children and youth to overcome the effects of poverty, conflict, and disease in disadvantaged communities.
