Hope everyone can join us for a School Council special guest speaker on adolescent mental health on Thursday April 9, 2015 at 7:00PM in the Library Commons. Kathy Penner, a ten year teacher vetran who currently works in the mental health class at Centennial High School will be speaking on the important topic of Adolescent Mental Health. Kathy will spend roughly 60 minutes relaying the latest in adolescent brain development and common theories behind mental illness. Specific information will be shared regarding depression and anxiety; the two most common mental illnesses found in adolescence. Community resources will be shared at the end of the presentation.
