Quebec Trip Wrap Up

Welcome back Quebec students!

6 days, 5 nights, 45 students, 4 supervisors, 1 guide, 3 flights, 1 train ride, 2 cities and a variety of activities resulted in a priceless and memorable experience making this year’s trip to Quebec a huge success. This was in large part due to the people involved from the early planning stages such as the support from families, the incredibly dynamic group of students, the supervision team (Mme. Ryall, Mr. Stretch, Mr. Johnston), our experienced volunteer (Mme. Dillabough), our sweet jolly travel guide (Serge) and the support of Midsun Staff.

The result was a fun-filled, jam-packed tour of Quebec City and Montreal comprised of a range of activities to extend students’ learning across the curriculum: The Plains of Abraham, Military Program, Citadelle, Fort Museum, Martello Tower, Ghost Tour, Montmorency Falls, Huron Village, Archeology Museum  (Social Stu

dies); Science Centre, Space Camp, Biodome (Science); Copper Museum, Legends Improv (Fine Arts); Chez Marie Restaurant, Sugar Shack, Walking Tours (Culture) in addition to giving students an opportunity to put their French into action.

We were so fortunate to have had incredible weather and sunny days to explore. Plans for next year’s trip have already begun. Stay tuned for a parent information meeting in September for
