Thank you and happy holidays!

Happy wishes for a safe and fun-filled summer!

The staff at MidSun would like to extend a warm thank you to all of our parents who hosted a staff appreciation luncheon on June 26th.  The food was fantastic and we all appreciated the gift cards.  Our new Keurig coffee machine for our staff room will be put to use in the fall when we need to keep our energy up for our new grade 7,8 and 9 students.  Special thanks go out to Tammy W. who took the lead and organized it all! Thanks for spoiling us!

It was a wonderful year of learning at MidSun, with many off campus field trips and hands on activities to help the material jump off the page.  In our Tell them From Me survey, students were asked which class activities they found engaging and the answers were many and varied.  Some honorable mentions were the eyeball project, the element baby book project, using Photoshop, making a song about hygiene, the collective rights First Nations game, extracting DNA from a strawberry, making ice cream, reading the Unbroken Chain and, filming a heritage minute, to name a few.

We would like to thank our parents for generously sharing your children with us.  They are a wonderful bunch of curious, caring, generous youth and they have accomplished a great deal this year.  Our Celebration of Learning assemblies showcased some of their talents and discoveries this past year and we are proud of their work.  It is now time to recharge and spend time with friends and family.

The summer flies by and for those students returning to MidSun on September 1, 2015 (Grade 7 at 9 AM-Noon, grade 8 & 9 at 1:30-3:30 PM), we would ask that you spend a little time at the end of August reviewing the following documents (also available on our website under “School Forms and Handbook” :
Until then, have a wonderful break!
